Narrated by Melissa Moran
This is the fourth book in the installment. Cute and quirky which is pretty much all I expect from a cozy mystery. However, I do expect to like and admire the main heroine. Sadly, this was not the case. Krissy Hancock is the owner of a coffee shop/bookstore, but she is more of an employee than an owner. Her employees even tell her what to do. I really enjoyed the first three books. Krissy is notorious for getting involved in a murder, and the citizens of her small town are not happy to see her when a murder surfaces.
At times, she is annoying on the verge of a disobedient child. Her dad continuously called her “buttercup” – again annoying! I did enjoy the narrator who kept the plot going. She is the main reason why I gave this a 4 star read. This book would be perfect for a lazy rainy day or perhaps the beach.
