Cat About Town by Cate Conte

Cat About Town

This is a fun cozy mystery set in a small New England town.  Maddie James left town for college several years ago and decided not to return to her quaint home town until her grandmother’s funeral.  Expecting to only stay with her grandpa for a few days, Maddie stumbled upon the death of the town bully thanks to a stray tabby cat.  The cat has now become the talk of the town and people stop Maddie to take selfies with the now famous cat.

There were portions of this book that I really enjoyed and parts that fell short.  The list of who done its were long and fun to determine who really was the culprit.  There was a love triangle from a past romance that never evolved – maybe in a future installment.  The section on the cat shelter was fun and heartwarming since I am a cat lover, and my kitty was a stray.

The narrator was new to me and one that I have now included on my list to watch out for future audios.  Thanks to Tantor Media for supplying me this audio in exchange for a honest review.
