Thanks to Tantor for an advance copy of this audio in exchange for an honest review.
This is my first book by Ellery Adams, and I didn’t know what to expect. I liked the narrator but wish that she would have changed her voice between characters. At times, she was rather dull. The storyline was a slow pace at building up to the climax. I also thought that the description of pottery was a bit of an overkill. If you enjoy making pottery and learning about different kilns, this book is definitely for you.
Molly is a local reporter and has been assigned to report on the different pottery artist. She tags along with her mother to an event. Unfortunately, one of the well known collectors turns up dead, and Molly vows to find his killer. The reason why Molly feels compeled t o solve this mystery was not disclosed.
I liked Molly and the other supporting characters, but I felt that something was missing. Too much time was spent on the background of pottery and not enough on character building. I will read the next book in this series to determine if I want to move forward.
