Apparently, I am in the minority on my review of this book. I am glad that we all have differing opinions of favorites. Otherwise, it would be a boring reading community. This book just did not do it for me, and I was really looking forward to it. I really liked the writing style. I just couldn’t stand either of the main characters. Drew was an arrogant and winy rich boy who followed behind his father’s coat tails. Katherine (Kate) was a new associate hired by Drew’s father at his investment firm. I did not find either character to be believable and at times wanted to throw my book across the room – wouldn’t dare since it was an e-book!
The primary storyline took place at the firm where Kate and Drew were assigned a project for a client. The client ended up wanting Kate and it wasn’t due to her sharp wit and intellect. Drew is known for his sexual escapades and women fall at his feet. Not so with Kate, and he is determined to have her. This is a series, and needless to say, I am stopping at this one. Sorry, Ms. Chase, but I just can’t do it. As I said to each his/her own.
