This is book 2 in the Kellington series. I loved book 1 and met several fun and endearing characters. So far, I would suggest reading book 1 first, since primary characters have been introduced. Elizabeth – known as Lizzie is Ned’s sister and is highly political. Lizzie has involved herself in controversial causes – one such cause is allowing women to vote and rights from abusive husbands. Since her reputation is in jeopardy of ruin, Marcus Redmond, the Marquess of Riverton, who just happens to be Lizzie’s brother – the Duke’s best friend, offers his hand in marriage. Redmond has been in love with Lizzie since they were children. Lizzie is a very strong willed woman – very unusual for historical England and Redmond is a member of parliament.
This is an exceptionally written book and is a very fast read. I am definitely loving this series and am looking forward to book 3.
