My Review

This was one of my favorite books of this year so far. I am really looking forward to reading more in this series and discovering more about this world. Nurse Jane is forced to hunker down with British Operative Lord Edward Kellington during the Battle of Waterloo. One night of passion leads to a beautiful daughter that Jane has raised for the past 6 years. She did not want Ned (Edward) to be obligated to marry her so she never told him.

Seven years later, Ned arrives in the village where Jane is residing as the primary surgeon. When a threat to their daughter arises, Jane and Ned must join forces in order to save what is the dearest to both of them. This book introduces us to Ned’s family – his 3 brothers and 1 sister. I am assuming that each will have their own book with possibly another appearance from his aunts.
